How it works

Calls from Australian prisons are very expensive, a call to a mobile from a prison can cost as much as 90c per minute!!

Engine Numbers, which are often referred to as Engin Numbers, skype numbers for jail or inside numbers, provide any prisoner with a telephone number local to their prison’s location. When the prisoner calls the number, they will only pay a local call cost, in most cases 30c or 40c per call, we then forward that call to your existing landline or mobile phone for 17c per min

Can I update my forwarding number?

You can update your forwarding number as many times as you like and as often as you like. Please note, because of legislation changes in NSW, if you have an Engine Number for New South Wales you can’t update your forwarding number. If you get a new mobile phone, we have to give you a new Engine Number which will need to be approved by the prison

Can I forward outside Australia, eg to an NZ mobile?

With our prepaid number service, you’ll only pay for the minutes you use. We have no minimum usage, no transaction fees on top-ups, no term contracts, and our calling price includes GST.
